Bell Tower Cross with Burning Bush Headscarf/Table Runner
The cross in this design is patterned after the cross on the bell tower at St. Catherine's Monastery in Sinai, Egypt. The floral design on each side of the cross is patterned after the Burning Bush found at St. Catherine's Monastery.
This is hand embroidered on fine linen by Bedouin women of the Jebeliya Tribe, a local indigenous people, who have historically been caretakers and interdependent with St. Catherine's Monastery since its founding in the 6th century.
Approximately 2 yards long and 18 inches wide, this can be used as a headscarf, table or prayer shelf runner (on a dresser).
